Are you ready?
To regain control of your breathing?
It's time to get back to doing the important things in life with confidence
Are you struggling to control your breathing during stressful situations?
Do you find yourself avoiding things because of your breathing?
What would happen...
If you could breathe with ease and control your breathing when faced with high stress situations at work or in your personal life? Would you be able to stay focused and deal with these situations better?

It might mean you can finally go on that walk or jog with your friend and be able to have a conversation at the same time without struggling for breath.

Or, it might mean finally being able to forget about your breathing altogether, and no longer worry about when it might catch you out.

You haven’t been able to keep up with the length or speed of the breathing exercises
The breathing exercises might have made you feel tired or lethargic
They helped with the resting breathing but you’re still having problems when moving around or coordinating breathing with talking
You practice breathing exercises regularly but you still loose control of your breathing when having to perform in high pressure or stressful situations.
You may have tried fixing your breathing with other breathing practices such as breathwork or yoga BUT…
Ready to learn exactly why our respiratory physiotherapists can help you?
01
We are Breathing Experts
Respiratory physiotherapists are qualified physiotherapists with extensive further training and experience treating those with breathing problems or lung disease. With decades of experience between us, we ensure we look at the whole body, with an expert eye on the breathing system, in order to safely prescribe and treat your symptoms. We understand how frustrating and controlling breathing symptoms can be, so we quickly get you on the right path of treatment, calling on our extensive network of medical professionals if required.
02
A Specialist Understanding
Breathing is controlled by our brain and our breathing muscles. It is an automatic function, however it can be influenced heavily by our thoughts, emotions, infection, or illness. Most people are able to control variations in their breathing from these external factors without a thought, some are able to manage them through strategies such as those seen in breathwork, and others are not; and you are most likely reading this as you are in the latter group: struggling to gain control of your breathing in certain situations, or perhaps it has spilled over in to everyday life.
03
Advanced Long-Term Solution
The way to fix this, is tailored breathing pattern re-training. There is no one size fits all approach. It involves carefully picking apart the drivers for your inefficient breathing pattern, and working together to rebuild your breathing foundation through a variety of specialist techniques; equipping you with the skills and confidence you need to rid your symptoms.
Our Promise...
During your Breathing MOT we will:

Analyse how you are breathing – the muscles involved, the volumes, ratios, speeds and location of the breaths, and your breathing muscle strength.

Examine factors that influence your breathing, not only from your history, but also your ribcage, thoracic spine and diaphragm mechanics, your posture, and core stability.
Present you with findings at the end of your appointment, alongside recommendations regarding the structure of your treatment.
Rest assured that our expert experience in the breathing field means we will routinely screen your symptoms and will always refer you on to the most appropriate medical professional before you start treatment if we feel your presentation warrants a further opinion.
Feeling too busy to commit at the moment, or perhaps location is a problem?

We're all busy, and we understand that, that's why your Breathing MOT can be timed around your schedule. We offer appointments Monday-Friday, and evenings too.

We understand that not everyone lives close to our clinics, but it is important your Breathing MOT happens face to face in order for us to assess you appropriately. If you require further treatment, there is an option for some of your follow-up sessions to be delivered remotely at your specialist's discretion.

Unfortunately breathing pattern problems rarely get better on their own, and if left untreated, symptoms can further develop, so it's best to try and get your breathing back on track as soon as you can.

Breathing is something we do everyday. We can't live without it, yet no one teaches us how to do it properly
